Kevin Boller

I started making photographs when I was twelve years old. Forty Five years later, I'm still at it, and still surprised by what a camera can find in a room full of light and shadow.

Before this was my full-time work, I spent nineteen years as a data scientist at a fortune 100 company. That training never left. It shows up in how I shoot and how I edit — looking for the variable that actually matters, building a process that holds up under pressure, trusting what the frame tells me even when what it's telling me is a face caught in seven-tenths of a second.

My commercial and editorial work has run in more than thirty international editions of Glamour, and for five years I ran a studio under my own name building product and editorial photography for brands that needed precision as much as polish. That practice now lives at Insight Image Studio. What's on this site is something else — the pictures I make when there's no client in the room.

My fine art work has been exhibited in galleries across three countries. New York City, Athens, Greece and Melbourne, Austrailia.

These days I split my time between the camera and the classroom, teaching photographers who are earlier on the same path I'm still walking.
